Equine Program Participant Addendum
Supplements the D³ Master Participant Agreement (D3-PART-MASTER-2026.09)
This Equine Program Participant Addendum ("Addendum") supplements the D³ Master Participant Agreement (D3-PART-MASTER-2026.09) and governs your participation in D³ equine and equestrian programming, including but not limited to Downward Dog and related productions. In the event of a conflict between this Addendum and the Master Participant Agreement, this Addendum controls.
1. Equine Activity Inherent Risk
You acknowledge that equine activities involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated, including falls from horses, being kicked, bitten, or struck by a horse, being thrown from a horse, collision with other horses, riders, or objects, unpredictable horse behavior, and allergic reactions to horses, hay, or barn environments. Under Texas law and the laws of other states, equine activity sponsors are not liable for injuries resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
2. Equine Experience Disclosure
You must accurately disclose your equine experience level in your application. D³ will assign horses and activities appropriate to your disclosed experience level. Misrepresenting your experience level may result in disqualification and increases the risk of injury.
3. Safety Equipment
You agree to wear all safety equipment required by D³ production staff, including ASTM/SEI-certified helmets, follow all safety instructions from D³ equine staff and trainers, not mount or handle horses without authorization from D³ equine staff, and wear appropriate footwear during all equine activities.
4. Horse Welfare
You agree to treat all horses humanely and with respect, follow all horse handling instructions from D³ equine staff, not use excessive force or abusive techniques with any horse, and report any signs of horse distress or injury to D³ equine staff immediately. D³ is committed to the humane treatment of all animals in its productions. Violation of horse welfare standards is grounds for immediate removal from the Production.
