Supplements the D³ Master Participant Agreement (D3-PART-MASTER-2026.09)
This Music & DJ Competition Participant Addendum ("Addendum") supplements the D³ Master Participant Agreement (D3-PART-MASTER-2026.09) and governs your participation in D³ music competition and DJ programming, including but not limited to The Transition and related productions. In the event of a conflict between this Addendum and the Master Participant Agreement, this Addendum controls.
1. Music Rights — Critical
Music rights are your sole responsibility. You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights to perform, record, and broadcast all music you perform or play during the Production. For DJs, you have obtained all necessary licenses to publicly perform and broadcast the musical compositions and sound recordings in your sets. D³ may require you to provide a cue sheet listing all music performed. D³ may mute or edit music that cannot be cleared without liability to you.
2. Performance License Grant
You grant D³ the right to record, broadcast, and distribute your performance, including all music performed, on D³ Platforms and through D³ distribution partners. This includes the right to create clips and promotional materials featuring your performance.
3. DJ-Specific Terms
If you are participating as a DJ, you represent that you have a valid DJ license or subscription that covers public performance and broadcast of the music in your sets, or that you have obtained individual licenses for each track. You will provide D³ with a complete track listing for each set performed. You acknowledge that D³ may need to edit or mute portions of your set for rights clearance purposes.
4. Original Music
If you perform original music, you retain ownership of your original compositions and sound recordings. You grant D³ the license described in Section 2. You represent that your original music does not sample any third-party recordings without proper clearance. D³ does not acquire any ownership interest in your original music through your participation.
5. Competition Rules
All judging decisions are final. You may not communicate with judges outside of designated Production activities. Violation of competition rules may result in disqualification. Specific competition rules, set time limits, and format requirements will be provided at the time of Production.
6. Equipment
D³ will specify what equipment is provided and what you are responsible for bringing. You are responsible for the safety and security of your own equipment. D³ is not responsible for damage to or loss of your equipment during the Production.
